We’re delighted to announce that three of our Baptist Care Australia member organisations — Baptcare (VIC, TAS, SA), Baptist Care (SA) Inc, and BaptistCare (NSW, WA, ACT) — are merging to form a unified organisation. This is a significant step forward, and we’re eager to see the positive impact they’ll create together!
As the peak body for Baptist social service organisations, we fully support this move. By bringing together their resources, expertise, and knowledge, the new organisation will be able to deliver even higher quality services and have a stronger impact in our communities.
What’s Next?
The merger is set to be completed in March 2025, followed by a period of integration. We’re excited to follow their journey and support their progress as they come together. Baptist Care Australia is not part of the merger. We remain fully committed to our mission, and it’s business as usual for us! Our work will continue, focused on policy analysis, advocacy, and being a strong voice for people living on the margins — while supporting our members and the communities they serve.
