The New Year brings both arrivals and departures to the Baptist Care Australia family.
South Australia welcomed a new CEO this week with Graham Brown stepping into the top job. Graham has almost 20 years in executive leadership roles in the community sector including more than 12 years as CEO of community services and housing provider, Junction Australia. He has been an active member of the Baptist movement for more than 35 years and is currently a member at Blackwood Hills Baptist Church in Adelaide.
BaptistCare (NSW & ACT) has said a partial farewell to Senior Chaplain, Trevor Wight, who is moving on to a part-time role teaching in the Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care programs at Morling College. He’ll work for BaptistCare for the rest of the week as Church Partnership Manager, strengthening relationships with the 340 Baptist churches in NSW and ACT. Jenny Blok has stepped into the role of Senior Chaplain.
Jenny has been with BaptistCare for 6½ years, working as a chaplain and manager.
Olivia Maclean has left her role of General Manager, Mission Development at Baptcare after 5 years. She’s moving on to an exciting new role contributing to social transformation at The Difference Incubator.
Two member organisations have recently announced new Chairs for their Board. Robina Bradley has become Chair of Baptcare in Victoria/Tasmania and Julie Lawrie has stepped up from Deputy Chair to the Chair role for Baptist Care SA. Robina and Julie join Judith Carpenter (Chair of BaptistCare NSW & ACT) to achieve 50% female representation of Board chairs for state member organisations.
